Two people were killed in a car accident in Pune. The police said the juvenile was driving a luxury car—a motorcycle.
They said the juvenile was detained and charged with relevant provisions after a car accident that killed two riders. The police also said that they would take action against the parents.
The action occurred in Kalyani Nagar around 3:15 a.m. when friends were returning home from a party on their motorcycles. Near the Kalyani Nagar junction, a speeding luxury car hit one of the motorcycles, which resulted in the deaths of two riders on the spot, as per the FIR registered against the juvenile.
After the luxury car crashed into the motorcycle, the motorcycle hit the roadside pavement railing. A video circulating on social media shows a group of people thrashing the driver who came out of the crashed car.
The deceased have been identified as Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa in the FIR.
